Course title, code: Basic Mathematics, GAINBAN-ALAPMATE-1
The aim of the course is to provide students with the basic concepts and methods needed to master higher mathematics and to fill in the gaps for the shortcomings of secondary school.
1. Number sets: natural numbers, integers, rational numbers, real numbers 2. Solving linear equations, word problems, operations with fractions, order of operations, percentages 3. System of linear equations (graphical solution, substitution, elimination), word problems 4. Trigonometry and applications, trigonometric equations 5. Simplifying radical expressions, quadratic equation 6. Exponents, rules of exponents 7. Polynomials 8. Factoring 9. Logarithm, logarithm rules, solving exponential and logarithmic equations, word problems 10. Distance of points in a coordinate system, equation of curves, length and scalar product of vectors 11. Elementary functions and their properties, transformations of functions
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the principles and methods of natural sciences (mathematics, physics, other natural sciences) relevant to the field of IT.
- He/she makes an effort to work efficiently and to high standards.
- Efficient use of digital technology, knowledge of digital solutions to fulfill educational objectives
Mid-term study requirements:
Students who have passed the Week 1 examination with at least 60% of the marks have obtained a signature in the subject. The others must score at least 60% on the two examinations ( total) to get a pass mark, and you can write a revision at the end, either or both exams.
