The aim of the subject is to introduce the main economic priciples and mechanisms of the market for the students. Both the macro and the micro levels of economics will be taught for the students. The students will learn how the market behavies in different conditions, which are the main incentives of the consumers, how enterprices function and try to increase their profit.

Mid-term study requirements:
6. week: presentation in a microeconomic topic (50 point) 12. week: presentation in a macroeconomic topic (50 pont) The students have to reach min 50 points from the 2 presentations. In case of 3, 4 and 5 grades for the presentations, no written exam is needed.
Exam requirements:
Written exam: theory and calculations (100 points) Grading according to the Study and Examination Rules.
