Course objectives:
The aim of the sbjuct is to introduce the students with the characteristics and relationships of the operation of market organizations. To get to know the groups of internal and external factors influencing corporate performance, the structure of organizations and the main strategies of a company from management aspect.
Course content - lectures:

Introduction to management. The concept of management. Managers and/or leaders. Managerial roles.The manager's relationship with the systems of the company. The relationship of groups and the organization. General structural, functional and dynamic characteristics of organizations. Classical principles and human relations in management. Basic issues of managing organizational processes. The modern theories of management.The organizational environment and organizational characteristics of companies. Organizational culture. Decision making in organizations. Change management. Organizational forms in management. Strategies in organizations. Summary, exam information.

- The students get to know the basics of logistics, management, environmental protection, quality assurance, information technology, law, and economics, which are organically related to the field of engineering, as well as their limits and requirements. - The students get to know the organizational, management and communication techniques of companies.

- The students are able to organize, conduct and manage the operation of managerial systems. - The students are able to use their knowledge in a creative way to effectively manage the resources of a workplace.

Attitude:

- The students get to know to solve tasks and make management decisions by getting to know the opinions of the employees they manage, preferably in cooperative way. - The students pay attention to promoting the professional development of subordinates, managing and assisting their efforts in this direction.

Autonomy and responsibilities:

- The students are aware of the legal, economic, safety, social, health protection and environmental consequences of a workplace and decision-making situations. - Based on the instructions of the workplace manager, the students are able to direct the work of the assigned personnel, to supervise the operation of managerial processes. Evaluates the efficiency, effectiveness and safety of subordinates' tasks.

Mid-term study requirements:
During the semester students write two semester papers. The duration of the written tests is 45 minutes. The evaluation is based on the criteria specified in the study and examination regulations. An unsuccessful test can be repeated once. Exam requirements: The exam is in written form, the evaluation is in accordance with the provisions of the study and examination regulations.
