The objective of the course is to introduce students to the review, failure analysis and problem solving of plastics processing technologies.

The student should be able to recognise and apply the processes learned in the previous subjects (Technical Drawing, Plastics Processing Technology, Tools and Peripherals for Plastics Processing, Machines and Peripherals for Plastics Processing).

Skills:

Ability to review technological processes, perform failure analysis, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions needed. Students who participate in the NJE START program will complete the course through a company partnership.

Mid-term study requirements:
During the semester, students will develop and submit an independent project assignment. The student presents the developed assignment to the group in the form of a presentation. The group will ask questions and the results will be discussed in a workshop. The project assignment must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the end of the term.
Exam requirements:

The exam consists of a successful presentation and workshop discussion. For participants in the NJE START programme, the evaluation of the employing company will be taken into account.
