to enable students to understand the functioning of corporate logistics systems and to be able to analyse and organise the processes of logistics subsystems.

Logistics, the concept of supply chain, its role in the economy and in the company, logistics functions, logistics mission (6M, 7M, 9M). The concept of procurement, the procurement process, classification of suppliers, BOM, ERP. Inventory, stocking. Basic warehousing processes, types of warehouses, storage methods. Material handling systems. Packing, unit load training, order picking. Production logistics, push-pull systems (MRP, CONWIP). Distribution concepts, distribution channels. Transport, haulage, freight forwarding. Road freight, air, rail, water, combined transport. INCOTERMS, payment terms. Customer service, demand forecasting, order processing, customer service.
