Course objectives

The aim of the Business Communication course is to develop students’ knowledge and practical skills required for effective communication in professional and business contexts. The course focuses on verbal, written, non-verbal, and digital communication, enabling students to communicate clearly, professionally, and appropriately with different audiences.

Mid-term study requirements

Requirements (to be discussed with lecturer): Active participation in classes – regular attendance, participation in discussions, and completion of in-class activities. Individual or group presentation – preparation and delivery of a professional business presentation on an assigned topic. Practical assignments – completion of written and/or oral business communication tasks during the semester. Midterm test – successful completion of a written test covering the key concepts and topics discussed during the course. Group project – collaborative work on a practical business communication task, including presentation of the final outcome.

Generative AI usage

Use of GAI tools is permitted in a limited manner (e.g., for literature search support or specific tools). In this case, the course instructor is responsible for defining where and how GAI tools may be used in assignments. The course description must specify in detail how GAI tools may be used during the course.
